Lots of things!
Busy girl. Daughter inlaw and I have been beading a ton. Thought I'd better catch anyone who cares up with my life. We've spent many hours in my 'pottery studio' using my tiny kiln to make glass cabochons. Tho some of these picture feature actual 'stones'

Somethings more recent
Had one bell left from the wind chime I made last year. Decided to make a fairy necklace of it tho I don't usually wear necklaces. A couple of fairy charms and leaves and tadah! A necklace I just might wear more than once.

More Melted goodness!
Spent 2 days trying to make a bezel that would work. Watched dozens of Youtube and finally Peyote bezel video came up at 2am (thanks to the cat who sings most of the night) I finally found something I knew how to do. happy

Towels on my 4 shaft loom
A friend, Mary Hovde, came over several times to help me warp my little 4 shaft Rassmussen loom. After much fighting with heddles (had to make 500) and rewarp twice because things got out of order.. I learned a ton.
I managed to get 3 nice sized towels. The purple one went to a new home. The others are being enjoyed by us.

glass melting
Been doing alot of interesting stuff with my small kiln. Top picture is Liz's drip stained glass pieces. There was supposed to be a hole in both of them so they will have to be remelted but the color swirls are so cool. To bad the picture doesn't show it.
Middle picture is what people have been calling a 'space odyssey'. Its a combination of stained glass with clear and red beads melted over the top. Beads are working pretty well.
Bottom was me using up cheap colored beads that turned clear or white on me except for the red and blue.. obviously.
This has been a steep learning curve but I'm really enjoying it Liz has tons of stained glass chunks that she inherited.
Next I think we will move on to the big kiln and try large glass slumping.

More weaving
Bought this loom from a friend for really cheap... And it was already warped so I'm playing with it and learning how to read the pattern charts in books. Which was totally Greek to me..at first. I'm beginning to understand them a little more each time I go threw the books.
Mine isn't quite as clean as this one but it will be once I clear it. Bill and I have plans to lightly sand and oil it. I have plans to do some Rose painting on the side bars. And, it screamed its name at me when I first brought it home. Abigail.. She's a pretty thing

Marshall and Liz at Sakura con
She's dressed like a Kitsune..a Japanese Were fox..kinda. She made both their outfits. Mostly by hand. Including the Tail and ears. Her hair is the most amazing shade of RED! Matches her tail and ears.

More Weaving
Top one I finished Wednesday. The one on the loom I started Thursday night with yarn that I bought from a knitting friend. Hand dyed. The central pink is my homespun. You can see in the lower pic that I'm playing with textures. Waiting on a book but this much I figured out by making mistakes..now on purpose :)

6 months in review
The next few pages are an attempt to update everyone. I know some people only have this blog to know whats going on in my life (Sascha) and the lives of my kidlings.
The next few pics are of my eldest son and his sweet lovely Girlfriend Katie. And, one of the ships he has worked on recently. He's, as of this writing, being reassigned and we don't know where to yet. Gotta love big companies..right.
Katie also works as a cook on another ship (not Jerico's) She knits and crochets and has joined my knit group where she is constantly amazing me on how she just jumps in and learns things.
